CHARLOTTE...The Queen City
The largest city in the Carolinas, Charlotte is the country's second largest banking center and a major air and transportation hub for the Southeast. Charlotte Douglas International Airport was recently named one of the 10 busiest airports in the nation. The metro's population (2.5 million) and high-rise business district have grown dramatically over the past decade.
The city, settled around 1750, was named for Queen Charlotte, the wife of George III of England. Its citizens were among the most outspoken in opposition to the British government and it was in Charlotte that the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence was signed in 1775, a full year before our nation's version was ratified. In his brief two month occupation of the city in 1780, British General Cornwallis called it a "hornet's nest of rebellion" which inspired the city's NBA team name.
Whether you're buying, selling or relocating, let us show you why we're above the crowd in North & South Carolina real estate!!!
